Hi! I’m Beste Köken, an Urban Planner passionate about designing sustainable, inclusive, and data-driven cities.
I graduated from İzmir Institute of Technology, Department of City and Regional Planning, and I’m currently continuing my education in Geographic Information Systems at Anadolu University. My work focuses on combining spatial analysis, GIS mapping, and creative urban design to develop resilient and livable urban environments.
I’ve contributed to projects involving industrial heritage, sustainable mobility, and green infrastructure, producing analytical maps and planning strategies through tools like ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and AutoCAD. I’m also interested in exploring AI-supported spatial analysis and data-driven approaches to urban planning.
My projects have been recognized with awards such as the Atlas Planning Graduation Project 2nd Prize and the Murat Balamir Risk-Sensitive Planning Encouragement Award, reflecting my dedication to thoughtful and innovative urban transformation.
Curious, creative, and collaborative! I believe in the power of cities to inspire, connect, and evolve.
Let’s build smarter, greener cities together!
